7. Those born in the 30s watched Sesame Street with their kids born in the 60s

My niece just told me she saw the first show in 1969...that her Mother invited the neighborhood kids to watch. That's four generations.

Watching the real Big Bird on SNL, I waited for the joke/the punch line. The joke was that there wasn't one...just an innocent children's icon explaining that he was the original "tweeter".

Watch what passes for "children's programming" these days and weep.
