Republican, conservative and strict, and recognize the authoritative attitude that comes out under pressure. My older siblings still cop it when they lose patience and feel like they're losing control.

Interesting to hear these old familiar platitudes in response to someone who is presenting plans to expand freedoms and restore civil rights. 'Oh no you can't' 'This will never come to pass!' and 'If it sounds too good it is' are all ways of keeping someone on a leash. Of course I rebelled. then
