(5,780 posts)And when I look at issues comparisons like this one

that show Sanders and Clinton on the same page on about 85% of key issues, I grow skeptical of one being labeled as a "conservative." Like I said -- I'm not interested in arguing over whether a "true progressive" would give a speech to an investment bank any more than I'm interested in arguing whether a "true progressive" would vote the Brady Bill.
I'm like a lot of Democrats -- I don't hate Wall Street. I own stocks -- stocks in very good companies that employ a lot of Americans. That doesn't make me evil, and it doesn't make Hillary Clinton evil.
I'm more interested in spending my energy defeating people like Ted Cruz, Joni Ernst, and Ben Sasse -- Republicans with a strident social and economic agenda than focusing on the perceived evils of Chuck Schumer, Clair McCaskill, and Diane Feinstein. So use whatever labels you find convenient -- I still would rather have Hillary or Bernie over Ted or Donald. The whole "Hillary is as bad as a Republican" argument is just as bogus now as when the same argument was made about Al Gore.
