(3,702 posts)I was really surprised and disgusted by her words.
She is trying so hard to be everything to everyone that she has lost sight of who she is supposed to be representing.
For some reason the craziness of Trump is making Reagan look sane to people or even Bush seem not that bad. But they were really bad - bad for the economy, for LGBT, bad for minorities, bad for anyone not white Christian male.
I do not disagree that the extreme shift right is shifting everyone right - including Dems.
But my point is if nothing else, we have learned from Obama that the President is only one person. And the Republicans are going to block everything - it doesn't matter if Bernie or Hillary is elected. They have no desire to compromise on anything. And it is at every level - federal, state and local.
Someone saying they are going to leave if Bernie is not the nominee, IMO, is missing the bigger picture. Bernie can't do it all. Holy crap - there has been huge momentum with Black Lives Matter, with Bernie support, with people waking up to the reality that 1% can be defeated. We need to keep going and not throw in the towel at the first sign of defeat.
And you cannot put Hillary in the same category as Trump, Cruz and Kasich - no matter how much you disagree with her.
