(1,588 posts)I CLEARLY said the ban was first and things went way downhill from there! What don't you get? It was after the ban (I VERY, VERY clearly listed the ban first!) that Clinton people jumped in so very, very many places out of the blue and called me and everyone involved in certain conversations horrible, nasty, outrageous names, cursed, and on and on. You are the one twisting things around! I have never been disparaged like that in my entire life. Of course, anyone in your world anyone who doesn't worship Hillary is evil! I was hardly dishonest in listing just some of the stuff I have experienced here! I have NEVER seen anything like it! Yup, I am the dishonest one! !
Yes, not only a Masters with honors but a full Fellowship at a major university. They even gave me a stipend for my living expenses so I could concentrate on my studies. I had multiple job offers when I left school. I was on a diagnostic team that including a number of professionals representing several disciplines. Whether you believe me or not, I do not care! I wrote a chapter in a book on education and was asked to serve on two county-wide committees. I am used to dealing with people who can remain civil even when they disagree. Boy, was this a wake-up call.
Truth is not propaganda!
Yes, I made a comment about Chelsea's fake job but I never used obscenities as were subsequently addressed to me and many others! The joke going around at the time Chelsea got the job was it was was a fake job! I did NOT pull that out of the air! She was sent to Africa to observe elephants and did an interview with the Geico gecko! Wow! That must have been difficult!
If you want to believe Chelsea got this job as most likely the highest paid reporter in the world because of her amazing interview skills, go ahead!
Reality check!
Why did NBC reportedly pay Chelsea Clinton $600,000 a year?
http://www.latimes.com/business/hiltzik/la-fi-mh-why-did-nbc-pay-chelsea-clinton-20140616-column.html
NBC's hiring of Chelsea Clinton as a "special correspondent" in its news division was widely recognized as an exercise in corporate cynicism when it was announced in November 2011.
Now a price tag has been hung on that scandal, with Politico's reporting that Clinton has been paid a salary of $600,000. The network hasn't confirmed the figure, but it hasn't denied it either, and responded to Politico's questions by asserting that it "continues to enjoy a wonderful working relationship with Chelsea, and we are proud of her work."
It's that last part that's particularly head-scratching, for as a news correspondent for NBC, Clinton hasn't done anything to be proud of. Quite the contrary. The disclosure raises the obvious question of NBC's goal in giving a person without any measurable journalistic or broadcasting experience or any particular public following a high-profile job and apparently paying her a top-echelon salary.
The answer is equally obvious. Plainly, it was done to curry favor with the Clinton family.
Matters went downhill from there. Clinton did a couple more uplifting pieces about people "making a difference," then suddenly, like water finding its own level, she was down to fawning celebrity profiles.
She told us how Stella McCartney, the fashion designer daughter of Paul McCartney, has "taken tremendous risks for her principles, including making clear to Gucci from the beginning she would not work with leather." There was an interview with young-adult author Judy Blume, who with 80 million books in print surely was in desperate need of the spotlight that only Chelsea Clinton and "Rock Center" could train on her.
Last April came the scraping of the bottom, an utterly canned interview with GEICO's trademark gecko, the segment dressed up as "a look at some of the most popular television advertisements." A hiring that started out as merely cynical had become its own parody.

Chelsea Clinton is Quitting Her $600,000/Year NBC "Reporter" Job

Shortly after it was revealed by Politico that NBC had stooped to new lows in favoritist nepotism, having paid Chelsea Clinton an annual salary of $600,000 for "occasional" reporting work, in effect making her one of the highest paid if not the highest paid "reporter" in the world, the former first daughter quickly stunned everyone when, in the aftermath of her mother's just as stunning commentary on personal wealth and what being "broke" in the New Normal apparently means, she stated rhetorically that "I was curious if I could care about money and I couldn't."
