(1,446 posts)This is a combination of some truly ridiculous things:
1. How can you assume to know the situation or status of anyone that is non-minority? You assume to know their reasons for not voting for Hillary if it comes to that and have come up with "privilege". Another word that one might consider is "principled". Maybe some people don't have this privilege you speak of but still cling to their principles as something tangible and their vote as something to be earned and given rather than tossed out a part of a voting bloc based on fear. I know many Dems who come from a place of no privilege at all and they see Hillary as bad for them and their interests. They have principles and that should not be denigrated simply because you don't like how they plan to vote.
2. We have heard since the beginning of this race that non-minorities, and specifically those who are not black, should not try to persuade minorities to vote one way or another. That we shouldn't be "black-splaining" the candidates, the issues, or their votes to them. That any attempt at this is borderline racist and shows a lack of understanding. Now, I have seen this multiple times, where we are accused of not caring about minorities if we don't vote the way they want us to. It seems as though it is okay to "splain" to everyone else how they need to vote for your best interests but not to listen to anyone else explain their interests and why they lie where they do.
