And I think Biden just wants to appear to be the good guy, the guy who likes Bernie, and sees how much Hillary is disliked. So - saying nice little things all along is, IMO, supposed to be the spoonful of sugar that helps the medicine go down. I doubt he thinks we all really understand his role in student debt, for instance. He thinks we think he is just Joe, the fun guy to perhaps have a beer with.

My cynicism, at this point, has no boundaries.
