And there's a reason we use them as a punchline for jokes. I just personally would never equate them with Bernie Sanders in any way because I think he's the genuine article. His ideas may seem unattainable in this political climate, but for liberals and the working poor like me, he's been the voice we've been waiting to hear for a long time. I loved Obama in '08 and '12 and am disappointed that our system hasn't allowed him to bring the change he had promised. While it's easy to make fun of the big rallies and the hippies and "free pizza" eaters that may show up, we really believe in his message.
