(30,247 posts)Hillary lost the nomination by a hair. She and Obama each had 48% of the popular vote. His pledged delegate advantage was only 102. Yet, she conceded 4 days after the last primary ended. At the convention she released her delegates so that Obama could be nominated by acclamation. She immediately began campaigning for Obama.
Sanders is proving to be a small man. For moths he insisted that super delegates should switch to him due to some match-up polls. Never mind that he was far behind in pledged delegates and the popular vote. He appears to at least have let go of that undemocratic strategy. Unfortunately, he has yet to concede and will go all the way to the convention with his 1,900 delegates. I guess that the party can forget a Hillary nomination by acclamation.
Sigh.....
