2016 Postmortem
Showing Original Post only (View all)I've been asked 3 times now how I could be a Bernie supporter and be such a vocal lover of Kaine [View all]
I posted this in another thread, but I want to put this out there:
I worked for Tim Kaine's campaigns, I've been around Tim Kaine, I've been following his career for 20 years. When I wanted inspiration trying to turn VA Blue in the aughts, I didn't turn to Mark Warner, he is a great man and politician, but no liberal, I turned to Tim Kaine. The man was the most liberal local politician i could find in my state in 2001. He's been a great liberal ambassador to this state and will be a great Vice President for this country.

OP
"Bernie is yesterday" is true only with regard to who is running, not to what a person's values

An all or nothing view can many times leave one with nothing. This country was built on compromise.

I'm glad to hear your first-hand experience. I've "evolved" from "No Kaine" to "Let's Go!"

Too bad DU posters aren't spending more time and effort bashing Mike Pence rather than Kaine

Most of the time you have to support the best person running, not the 'ideal'.
