(4,734 posts)I haven't posted in either of your prior threads but I did follow both. Here's what I observed. You presented something which was new news to you. It was alarming because based on the facts presented it has the potential to hurt Democrats. Once people explained the specifics of the issue, you acknowledged it but the way the media was presenting it still had you very concerned.
From there, it's all about how we react to media narratives in real time. None of us have control over how CNN or NBC or FOX covers a story. So some people brush it off when they know the facts. Others scream in frustration over the inaccuracy. And the remainder sit back to see how big of a problem it can become.
All reactions are legit. But if you were expecting other people to have the same visceral reaction, the same outrage or the same concern, I can get why that could be maddening.
I do believe most people, understood the points you were making. Some may have been dismissive of the issue but I think most people understood why you are genuinely concerned about this story being twisted.
