and then some, he can never say he was ignored, not given opportunity
And sometimes when someone is questionable, or batshit crazy, depending
on how one looks at it, the best remedy is to give them the soapbox,
let them speak and air their beliefs. It doesn't always work, GWB should
never have seen the light of day, would he have been elected without
the credibility of his famous political name and pedigree? I doubt it.
The Republican Party, and Trump, are painted into the corner for different
reasons, the Republicans for their extreme ideology and obstructionism,
Trump for temperament, personality, extremeism. If Hillary accelerates
to the middle, a little left, a little right jab here or there, she can take
this election big time. This may be the election where polarization is the
biggest loser. The country deserves better.
And don't tell me Bernie Sanders would be up by 75%. He was electable,
with patriotism and sound judgment, but his lack of integration into the
Democratic Party apparatus was going to spook Congressional Democrats
running in moderate districts, and Republican cries of "Socialism!!!" were
an unknown entity, I don't know how we would respond. It's one thing
for the Great Recession younger generation, it's something else to
Baby Boomers and retirees.
