"It staggers the imagination to know that my opponent spent $20,000 of donated money to buy a portrait of himself." {Brief face-palm here. A wry grin.} His wife outbid herself to raise the price to $20,000. The Clinton Foundation is above this sort of pettiness.

So I ask the American people: what is more important for a charity? Donating money to wipe out HIV or buying vain portraits?"
