I interpreted it as a dogwhistle to the sheep in the audience that you should not vote for Clinton/Kaine. And alot of them in the audience will do just that.

It's funny how everything comes down to a candidate's position on abortion with the RCC clergy. Never mind their position on lying the country into war (Bush). Never mind the obstructing of any health care reform to make it accessible and affordable. Never mind their position on capital punishment (Bush again).

It always comes down to abortion to these people because it gives them the excuse to vote for a Donald Trump despite the person he is and despite the policies he's advocated.
