2. Importance of "the narrative", our narrative, can not be overstated.

Back during the Bush administration, I was frustrated with Republicans constantly putting down Democrats, by talking about their lack of patriotism, family values, religion. I thought about all the northern New England villages I traveled through, each one with 1,2, 3 or more churches. I thought about all the outstanding volunteer soldiers from New England, particularly here in Vermont. I thought about all the people I know who were devoted to their families and communities. Republicans even took stock of who did and did not wear flag pins. It infuriated me and I wondered where the Democratic voices were. I pretty much feel the same way today.Where, I wonder, is the giant group of Democratic leaders speaking out against Donald Trump's frightening behavior? We can no longer stand by and let Republicans define who we are and what we stand for. We must stand up and speak out....forcefully, and by the millions.
