Reid changed the senate rules and caught a ton of flack for changing the filibuster rules for judicial confirmations. We were able to place several judges on the DC Court of Appeals that would not have happened if the filibuster rules remained the same. Now that the repubs are in charge, the approval of judges will screech to a halt and only the most conservative judges will be approved. Dems did the best they could under the circumstances.
