I always figured she didn't leave her husband because of the politics of the time-- Republicans were out for blood, one phony scandal after another. So they find a real one. Several male polititical figures who pointed fingers at Bill Clinton got busted for similar or worse behavior later on.
I don't have privy to Clintons hearts or their bedroom. Her decision then was her business, but it helped Clinton's career and legacy, turned the scandal into another Teflon moment.
And She certainly bounced back didn't she? Yes indeed look at her now. Madame president has an awfully nice ring to it
