1. The Republicans can't make a deal and keep it

If they cared so much about these cuts, they either shouldn't have voted for the deal in the first place or they should have worked harder to cut a reasonable deal during the "Super Committee" deliberations that ultimately went down in flames. President Obama is, even now, willing to work out a deal to avoid cuts but that's never going to happen because, of course, the Republicans are still pledging their allegiance to anti-tax zealot Grover Norquist. Hopefully, President Obama and his campaign are quick to point these things out.

Edit to add: The Republicans, by arguing against these cuts, are, in fact, arguing that government spending DOES affect . Hope this gets at least a passing mention as well.
