Before anything can happen, someone must be elected. That makes getting a Democrat elected as President, electing a majority in the Senate and other things are probably the most important issues in this election cycle.
Specific proposals or policies from individual candidates are all dependent on the results of the election. So, if not elected, no candidate can do anything at all.
Therefore, I put getting Democrats elected to office at the top of my issues list. For me, in every election, that is the main issue, actually.
When Democrats hold office and majorities in legislatures, progressive goals are either met or advanced. When Republicans hold those offices, they are not. It could not be simpler.
