(45,319 posts)Hillary Clinton as President will likely damage the Democrat brand for liberals for years.
"Any hope the Democratic Party has of maintaining its favorability among liberal voters will be scuttled by a Hillary Clinton presidency. The Obama presidency has already taken its toll on the left. Six years of broken promises and the continuation of many of the worst abuses of the Bush Administration have soured many American liberals on the Democratic Party. Still, the chance of electing the first female president on the Democratic ticket is too good to pass up as a legacy. But the realities of what a Clinton presidency will look like may end the liberal Democrat alliance for at least a generation.
Domestically, Clinton will operate along the same lines she always has, working to advance the interests of those who give her the most money to grow her political power. Clinton has repeatedly gone on record stating that her foreign policy will be farther to the right and more devoted to war than Obamas, hewing closer to Bush. Clintons feelings on accountability, at least as relates to her having any, are nil. It doesnt exist for her. Hillary Clintons record shows that a hypothetical Clinton 45 administration will be operated along the lines of cronyism, bellicosity, and unaccountability."
