You and I both know the truth of the story from threads yesterday. And the those threads used sources that weren't right wing.
Was great you suggest the OP find another source.
As to the larger questions about sources:
I honestly don't care much for the 'yes the website is an extremist rightwing site, but the story is true' defense.
If Rick Snyder said something true, he would still be poisoning the people of Flint.
To break it down a little.
- I don't beleive that DU should be used to send web-traffic to support and promote rightwing viewpoints. That is enabling them. Helping them charge more money for ad space.
- generally any truth found on rightwing websites is then 'massaged' and 'manipulated' to trash progressives. For example see the article there on Bernie entitled "Bernie Sanders smears men, belittles women in abortion tweet" from 12-09-15. That's indeed a true tweet that Bernie sent. The rest is not-stop anti-Bernie anti-Choice truth twisting smears. THESE SITES ARE NOT TRUTH-TELLERS and never will be.
- Lastly those who cite Breitbart, Drudge, The Moonie Times, Ann Coulter when they produce something anti-HRC do not seem to realize or acknowledge that they playing into the hands of the same propagandists who will smear Bernie non-stop after he wins Iowa and New Hampshire. As I said before, the enemy of my enemy is not my friend.
Hope that clarifies why I react strongly to the use of right-wing sources.
Have a great night.
