As you are pushed through the loop, when I got to the part where they tell you to dial "1" "for information about the Steve Colbert Show" I guess I accidentally hit a different single digit instead and got the news room.

A very nice woman answered. I forged ahead.

Told her I was 75 years old, alone in the country, and the only thing I had to help me survive the thing in the White House was Colbert. PLEASE tell CBS don't take him away.

This lovely woman listened to every word, took my name, and chuckled with me when I said, "So maybe he cusses a little, so what the hell! We need him."

She said, almost under her breath, "We sure do."

She asked my name and I gave it, then she enthusiastically said she would definitely forward my message.

Remember, be nice if you actually get someone.
