may like to look for with regards to both fairy spirits and Saints, as follows:

Encyclopedia of Spirits: The Ultimate Guide to the Magic of Fairies, Genies, Demons, Ghosts, Gods & Goddesses by Judika Illes
http://www.amazon.com/Encyclopedia-Spirits-Ultimate-Fairies-Goddesses/dp/0061350249/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1372348039&sr=1-3&keywords=judika+illes

Encyclopedia of Mystics, Saints & Sages - A Guide to Asking for Protection, Wealth, Happiness, and Everything Else! by Judika Illes
http://www.amazon.com/Encyclopedia-Mystics-Saints-Sages-Protection/dp/0062009575/ref=sr_1_4?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1372348039&sr=1-4&keywords=judika+illes

I found them well-researched and even fun to just sit and read, learning while researching I'll have to see, too, what other spirits are similar to fairies and angels. I know there are a fair number with qualities of both, I just can't remember them at the moment (writing deed descriptions, so my brain is a bit fried...)

I have the Kindle version of both books, though I do wish they had linked each individual alphabet letter to make it easier to browse. I'll have to suggest that and maybe get updated copies if they reformat them.
