5. A few clarifications

There is no specific "voter ID," just a short list of accepted IDs that people could already have: WI driver's license or state (nondriving) ID or receipt given after applying for one, US passport, military ID, tribal ID, certificate of naturalization, college student ID if it meets certain requirements, and (recently added) a VA ID card. The stipulations attached to each of these are set out here. One important one is that a driver's license or state ID can be expired back to Nov. 4, 2014 and still be accepted. Also, the license address does not have to be current. A voter who has to register should bring a utility bill, bank statement or government document or letter to prove address.
