First, just gotta say
IT WAS EFFIN AWESOME!
This was downtown Oakland I have no idea how many Bernie supporters were there because lines were 2 miles long and I'm just not good at crowd guestimates> But rest assured it was very well attended thousands, just can't say how many thousands.
This while a major Warriors game was on which is a very big deal in this town. Very Big Deal.
I took pics, and a video, but they're not aerial and really all I really got was a lot of peoples backsides, so I'm not thinking of posting those. Being on the same ground level just doesn't do it justice, I think there's probably some great photos and videos done with people who had a good vantage point.
It was so jammed tight that I really couldn't see him, but it was awesome to hear his voice over the PA system in real time. The energy was fabulous and it was really inspiring to be among that many supporters in Oakland.
The Diversity of people in attendance was representative of this community. Across the entire spectrum of Humanity.
So even though I didn't actually get to shake his hand or even see his face, just being there was a reaffirmation that this revolution is happening, people are behind Bernie 100%.
In Solidarity, Feelin' the Bern!
Editing to Add this link with a great article and photo images. 30,000 at the plaza and 60,000 perimeters.
