Bernie Sanders

(3,795 posts)If it continues or heaven forbid intensifies, then more and more Hillary supporters might not vote for Bernie and more and more Bernie supporters might not vote for Hillary in the general. That only benefits the Republicans (and they ARE much worse for PoC and average Americans in general). I guess if this continues and BLM continues to overtly demonize Bernie in such a vitriolic manner that it turns off his supporters from being able to vote for Hillary then we're going to need Trump to be the nominee. Karl Rove couldn't have devised a better scheme to tear apart our coalition. He must be very, very happy. And, I am very, very sad.
For the record: I will vote for Hillary in the general if I have to do so.
Edited to clarify: It hurts Hillary because there is the APPEARANCE that her campaign could be in part responsible since she potentially benefits from all of this. At least there is the appearance of this to a not insignificant number of people, and Hillary does have a history of using some very shady campaign tricks on race in her past (as opposed to Bernie). It's unfortunate all around, but if BLM is really going to be calling Bernie the "enemy" on a repeated basis then we have a serious problem here.
