The flip side, of course, is that Trump could win in 2020 without an impeachment. How would Democrats look then?

No president has deserved impeachment more richly than Trump. Nixon, for all his faults, actually had redeeming qualities; he was skilled at international diplomacy (at least on the large scale) and gave us the EPA. Trump has no redeeming qualities at all, and his crimes are far more extensive. But if there's no chance for success, I worry that it could backfire.

If I were to vote in a presidential
