Obama believed it for at least 6 years. HRC warned Obama and KNEW they wouldn't openly work with her. She knew that she'd have to force them to. Remember "triangulation"? That was Clinton cornering the GOP in their own rhetoric. It wasn't really compromise as much as trapping them.
