...the solution to every problem is economic. Sexism, homophobia, racism, the death of the planet itself -- never mind the State withering away, these evils shall cease to exist with an entirely economic remedy. It's so clear; why even address them by name?
Then I, having heard this before from BS, quite independently turned off the tv and walked off in my benighted state, not knowing the soaring rhetoric I was about to miss. FDR, MLK, and BS, oh my.
PS: I happen to agree with him that oligarchy is evil, and that unregulated capitalism destroys democracy. Really I do. But other things also destroy democracy, and must be named for what they are.
