The reason I would not settle is that there was a political and moral rot back then. I think many of us were not aware of how bad it really was, it was hidden beneath the surface, we were too complacent in Obama's competent hands, but it was there waiting and growing, like a cancer before you have any symptoms. Trump is the explosion of pain you get when the cancer gets big enough. It hurts, but now we know we were sick when we felt well.

When you have cancer, immediate treatment is required. Surgery and harsh drugs. Cancer can move fast, so we must move faster. Times of change move fast, they create their own urgency. Lincoln wanted to slowly end slavery, but instead he had Civil War before he even took office. Roosevelt had a national crisis, he moved immediately to start solving it. We are at such a time. Different kind of crisis, but a still a crisis.

That is what B and B are saying. You are saying you would settle for going back to the Obama years. They are saying that's like ignoring the real disease, and just taking pain killers instead. It's not an attack on Obama or Biden to say there were problems they could not solve. It's simply an important place where they disagree with Biden. You have to decide who is right. That's what elections are all about.
