In reply to the discussion: Sanders: Biden 'owes the country an apology' on 'civility' remarks [View all]peggysue2
(10,828 posts)In no way did Joe Biden 'extol' the virtues of segregationists. That's a ludicrous lie on its face. Bernie Sanders should be more concerned with Elizabeth Warren's rise in the polls at Bernie's expense. Which is not btw a false media narrative.
Joe will continue to be lambasted because this is the fate of any frontrunner. He's getting it from Republicans and Dems. How he withstands and reacts to the poisoned arrows will go a long way in determining his nomination for 2020 and his ultimate success in the General. Because whatever we're hearing now will be 1000x worse for any of our candidates in the GE.
This is the political run-the-gauntlet moment that our candidates dash through each election cycle. It's not pretty to watch or hear and the loudest voices run the risk of shooting themselves in the foot with the ugly. Karma is a bitch!
However, it is what it is.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
