17. I like Beto. He seems like a good guy. But I just don't see a president standing there.

I’m sure he’s an intelligent guy with some good ideas, but he’s too much of a “bro.” He’s more Ashton Kutcher in Dude, Where’s My Car than Michael Douglas in The American President.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
Seriously, why is Beto polling so low? [View all] Otto Lidenbrock Aug 2019 OP
Beto, Like Klobuchar is moderate-to-liberal in the policy spectrum. bluewater Aug 2019 #1
I think you've nailed it. nt LAS14 Aug 2019 #37
Beto is certainly to the left of Biden though Polybius Aug 2019 #41

Agree.. I think he still has a bright future.. he just needs to hold office for a while. The rest Thekaspervote Aug 2019 #11
Agreed, 8-10years will help him 4139 Aug 2019 #20
Which office? RLG Aug 2019 #22
Buttigieg has the same issue, he is trapped in a Ruby Red state and in a Ruby Red district. Celerity Aug 2019 #28
I like him well enough but when I hear his name I think "the kid." nt monmouth4 Aug 2019 #9
He reminds me of Eddie Haskell from Leave it to Beaver Funtatlaguy Aug 2019 #10
I had to look that up, but wow, this seems a serious slam on Beto Celerity Aug 2019 #29

You make him sound like he's Buttigieg's age. RLG Aug 2019 #24

I know how old he is. Buttigieg seems (but doesn't look) older. LincolnRossiter Aug 2019 #35
Light resume, real him mostly comes across at time of crises or anger, not on scene long enough ... uponit7771 Aug 2019 #18
Charisma, but not enough experience. milestogo Aug 2019 #19
I'd like to see Beto on the ballot with Warren as her VP. He's young. Lots of time ahead. CTyankee Aug 2019 #21
That's what I keep thinking, too: a Warren/Beto ticket. n/t Beartracks Aug 2019 #33
I read that Vanity Fair article, learned enough about him there to strike him off my list. cwydro Aug 2019 #25
he doesn't do much big media or use any occasion to raise money JI7 Aug 2019 #26
there will be better polling after labor day. beto and buttigieg should both move up in 6 months. Kurt V. Aug 2019 #27
