(4,558 posts)Lets see:
16x candidates.. Wheres all the friction? Between BS and everyone else. Some exceptions, but for the most part, just look at the main page.. A few posts of people promoting their choice, even fewer of other candidates posting something opposing another candidate.. The vast majority? People posting against BS, and people supporting BS opposing other candidates.
None that would dare post it here due to ToS, but theres a growing segment of anyone but Bernie or bust ers out there in places that dont have such rules.
His regular barrage of purity challenges helps with the primary effort, but damages the GE effort for whomever our ultimate candidate will be. Especially in the states that need to flip to hit that 270 to win point? The purity challenges arent so important to them. Especially in the Rust Belt area, the candidate that they feel will help alleviate their economic woes is the candidate they are going to select. Does anyone REALLY think that the Green New Deal is an important issue to Wisconsin, Ohio, and Pennsylvania? To Florida? Especially when, in the GE, Pissolini and the new Razi (Republican + Nazi) party are going to frame the environmental measures as something that will harm jobs and job potentials? Yes, thats a flat out fucking lie, but its a line that all evidence shows works for them.
Speaking of orange Pissolini, theres also those out there that every time they hear him speak, they blame BS for it. When they see children locked in cages? They blame BS for it. Is that fair? Maybe not, but that doesnt change the way people feel, or how it may affect their support and ultimately their votes. His campain staff choices this time around, especially with multiple prior Stein supporters certainly isnt doing anything to alleviate those feelings.
Our chances in the GE would have been so much better had he not chosen to run, but he is, so well just have to deal with it, and hope for better results this time around.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
