(10,713 posts)I can't even imagine being that articulate and informed on the issues, he's blown me away every time I've heard him.
I think he brings up the level of the whole field, and would love to see him win the nomination. One thing I think though, at this particular time, is that the most optimal candidate would need to be able to deal with the most pressing problem. Which I see as a general level of criminality in politics and industry, a basic culture of corruption. Obama was a great president but (to over-simplify) he didn't fix it. He worked within a screwed up system and didn't overly rock any boats. I really think we need someone to straighten things out, and there's a whole list of people who should be in front of judges instead of holding office or running corporations. The same was the case in 2008, but didn't happen. I'd bend my choice to someone who I thought could take that on seriously and apologetically, as it has only gotten so much worse.
