I learned the hard way a LOOOOOOOONNNNNG time ago. I learned that my heart will lead me astray. My head, on the other hand, stays un-fogged by emotion, but rather, clear-eyed, practical, and realistic.

I learned this in multiple ways, both personal and professional. It ALWAYS worked out better for me when I ignored what my heart urged me to do, and followed my head. In jobs taken or abandoned, in matters of love, and of money. Emotions do not factor into it. Same thing holds for politics. Last time, for just one example, I loved Hillary alright, but my HEAD said she was objectively the best by far. Maybe it’s different for others, but not for me.

This is what I worry about, politically, though. That old saying that “Democrats fall in love. Republicans fall in line.” Well, in that respect anyway, this Democrat won’t be following her tribe.

For me, it’ll ALWAYS be head-over-heart.
