It's funny, though. My House Representative is Betty McCollum. She's had 9 terms in office I think, and is one of the most progressive voices in the House of Representatives, but you've probably never heard her name.
This year, she has someone running against her, a guy named David Sandbeck. If you visit his website, he sounds a lot like Bernie Sanders, and he has references to "Our Revolution" on his webpage, although he does not have their endorsement, as far as I know.
He's an extreme longshot, and doesn't really have a chance in MN CD4. But, there he is, claiming that he's the one to elect. He's even running ads on pornhub.com, if you can believe that. I have no idea who he is, but he's running against a genuinely progressive house member, using the same sort of rhetoric that Bernie Sanders uses.
But, Bernie doesn't run video ads on PornHub, as far as I know. So, there's more to becoming an elected representative than slogans and ideas. Much more. How will David Sandbeck do in Minnesota? Very poorly, indeed. How will Bernie do in our first primary since a long time ago? I don't know. We shall see on March 4, 2020.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
