Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: What the actual hell is with this Bloomberg love? [View all]Have you actually stopped to ask why you think Mike Bloomberg can beat Trump? He's similar policy wise to Hillary, he has the additional issue of being a billionaire in a time when populist feeling is high, and he has a ton of baggage that will be used against him in social media campaigns to drive down the Democratic vote.
Want to bet against big AA targeted social media campaigns about his support for Stop and Frisk?
Want to bet against big progressive targeted social media campaigns about his endorsement of Bush?
Want to bet again big targeted social media campaigns about his calling people who support weed legalization 'stupid'?
Now maybe you think Sanders would be a huge risk, and fair enough I totally get that. But let's not start pretending that Mike Bloomberg isn't. And I'm darned if I see what new voters he's going to bring us that Hillary wasn't able to in '16. Unless anyone actually believes that the working class in the Rust Belt are going to suddenly find a New York billionaire with fairly conservative economic views wildly appealing.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
