Democratic Primaries

(6,448 posts)I look upon ideology the same as IQ. There's a dividing line down the center with the far left being progressive and the range between the line and the progressives being centrist. A better example would be a Bell Curve.
Everyone to the left of the line is liberal (open-minded), but the side is split into the 2 parts. The same is true for those who are on the opposite side. They're all conservative, but the centrists are toward the line more than the more radical right-wingers at the very end.
To me, a centrist conservative, AKA Compassionate Conservative, is one who applies an alcohol wipe before the radical one administers the lethal injection. Dubya was a centrist, while Cheney, "Darth Vader" to his colleagues, was more radical and further to the right.
Although I've always been a progressive, in my mind I don't believe centrist is a bad word. I think they're more cautious and don't take a lot of chances. No malice here--as long as they're Democrats.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
