Democratic Primaries
In reply to the discussion: I am a life long Democrat. I am a bit disturbed that Bernie says he is running against my party [View all]Tien1985
(920 posts)180. I am also a life long Democrat
But I believe in strident and consistent reflection and criticism as a means of keeping the values of the party on track, so I have no issue with Sanders on that score. I tend to feel like people treat political parties like baseball teams in their devotion and that is troubling to me. Ultimately, Warren is my choice, but I have little trouble with anyone demanding the best of our party.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided

Not that simple. I'd say Warren is not establishment wing, and does not back Sanders

Bernie will use the Democratic Party, but will never be part of it. He's just too good for us.
