Gore had zero charisma. And Trump has a very dark charisma that appeals to the worst in people.
Minorities don't feel Republican charisma because they are targets of the dog whistles.
Also you can look at charisma in terms of media ability. JFK looked and sounded good on TV, therefore was charismatic. Same with Reagan and Obama. Bush II had an artificial charisma and a homespun style created for him by Karl Rove.
Trump knows how to manipulate the media with negativity and tweets.
Buttigieg is now getting attention for giving good interviews. He is also getting negative attention (dark charisma from their point of view) from the right by attacking Pence and the religious right. And he writes good tweets.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
