(28,084 posts)I was aware of the superdelegate rule change but must have missed the change to all proportional distribution.
I wouldn't say that it substantially changes the argument on this thread. Bernie wouldn't need any of "Hillary's voters" (as if that were a thing) in order to win because "Sanders voters" (same caveat) would be enough for a strong lead when a dozen or more candidates are splitting the remaining delegates...
... BUT it dramatically changes my perception of the most likely path for the next 15 months. The chances of a brokered convention hurting us in the general (eating up our fundraising and damaging our eventual nominee) just doubled or tripled in my estimation.
I suspect I'm going to have to deal with more than my share of "your concern is noted" sniping.
