One link shows a maximum of 16% in one state; not 30% anywhere. The other link claims that 80% of Bernie voters declined to vote for Hillary. Sorry, that is preposterous; 8% is more likely...which is less than the PUMAs in 2008.
One question to ask: were those voters who wanted Bernie, and switched to tRump in a fit of pique; or were they voters who would not have voted for Hillary regardless?
It is easy to blame outside forces but imo our first obligation is to get our own house in order. There was plenty of evidence of disaffection with the Democratic Party during the Obama years despite voters' affinity for him, personally (lost majorities in both houses of Congress, lost state legislative seats, lost governorships). In that atmosphere, a person running for Obama's third term was facing an uphill fight...even against the worst and most unqualified candidate in the history of the Republic. Bernie knew that and that is why he ran (I've never believed that his personal ambition drove him into the race, nor that his ego kept him in it). I hope we figure this out. Certainly the signs in 2018 indicate that we are.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
