(4,494 posts)The instant it became mathematically impossible to win, as he had observed eight years earlier, he should have held rally after rally to bring his supporters to the nominee. Because, we were faced with the election of Donald Trump with a Republican Congress.
Instead, he dragged his feet, complained that he was cheated, and put divisive operatives on the platform committee. I don't care if he felt cheated; at that point, I didn't care if he WAS cheated. Because, we were faced with the election of Donald Trump with a Republican Congress.
Now, he has started up again, attacking the Democratic party, cozying up to FOX news, and staffing his campaign with Jill Stein voters. I believe he will do anything to advance his self-promotion, and the rest of us be damned.
No amount of whataboutism can change any of that.
And, my state has a chance to go blue this time; I don't know if it will happen, but I can state with 100% confidence that it will not happen if Sanders is the nominee.
