(32,640 posts)don't apply when it comes to Bernie.
Because reasons.
The rest of progressives, however do apply these standards to all candidates even if we don't talk about it around Sanders supporters because it's pointless. Sanders supporters then get the idea that when they shout down dissent, that they have convinced people to question their own candidates and not Sanders, and those people didn't really support their own candidate to begin with if they weren't inspired to get into a knock down drag out on social media to defend them against Bernie supporters.
That will lead to shock and disbelief on the part of Sanders supporters when the primary ballots are actually counted. We now know that there are those lying in wait to exploit that shock and disbelief and direct it against the voter-selected Democratic nominee.
We also know that there are those who are more than happy to benefit from that exploitation, and will deny that it's happening, even if they aren't colluding.
They know how it works now.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
