30. Kids value age more than would be obvious

Sure Joe would need a younger candidate.
But it was college kids who caught the Bernie fever.
Kids in college and high school are in an inter generational world much more than at any other stage of life, one in which older teachers, sometimes several decades older, encourage young dreams, impart the skills needed to achieve them, introduce them to a world of ideas, to wisdom and knowledge outside their own experiences, and come to know their student’s personal concerns, passions, problems; and in turn, the best teachers respect and learn from their students.
I’ve been a student and a teacher. I’ve been a young and an older student; a young and an older teacher. What I’ve learned is that age differences , within a mentoring context, often become complimentary facts.
