Rock Star
You scored 100%!
You damn rock star. You know all the basics, and if you got any wrong, I bet it was that stupid Traveling Wilburys question. Your friends are probably intimidated by your knowledge of classic rock and envy your impressive collection. When a classic rock song comes on the radio, you can probably identify it before the vocals kick in most of the time. You probably get good scores on the "maiden name of Clapton's mom" tests, too.

I'd say, for any of us younger than 40, I had to guess at who played last at Woodstock.

How I scored:
The Veteran
You scored 84%! You've picked up the majority of the classic rock basics. You probably have a classic rock collection and can sing along with most of the songs on your local radio station. This is not the highest score, but it is arguably the best: that subtle combination of impressive knowledge and not being a pretentious geek.

Very Basic - However it had to favor those of us who grew up with that music. I consider myself pretty current on music and still prefer Rock, though mostly Alternative (i.e., not top 40).

There was only one question where I doubted myself and I will confess that I would not have "remembered" that Hendrix closed out Woodstock if I had not watched VH1 this past weekend - They played the Woodstock documentary over and over.

68%.

I don't keep track of, nor do I have an extensive "classic rock" collection. I'm actually glad I don't know that much. :D

The Seeker
You scored 68%!
I don't know if you've been searching low and high, but you do know your bare-bones classic rock basics. With this kind of score, you probably nailed the signature song questions and most of the albums. You probably don't have much of a classic rock collection yourself, but when your friends play theirs, you recognize the songs. This is a respectable score: you're neither know-nothing nor nerd.

I like most kinds of music, but frankly, this surprised me. My sister is the 70's-rock godddess, I'd never thought I'd do this well. Hmmmmm.

Well! Back to listening to "Wonderful Town," "Gypsy" (no, not Stevie Nicks, Bernadette Peters), Linda Eder, Cassandra Wilson and Bryn Terfel.

50. 96%, and I thought Ed Sullivan
allowed the Doors to sing "Light My Fire," but told them to change the lyric, "we couldn't get much higher" because of a supposed drug inference--which is why the recording of the show has Morrison stressing "higher" while lurching towards the camera.

So I give myself bonus points and rate myself at 100%.

I do not know album names.
Also one of the questions was wrong. #41 said that the Doors were told not to play "light my fire" but my understanding is that they were expected to play that song. They were told not to say the suggestive word "higher". Morrison said it anyway and millions of kids ran right out and bought dime bags, and the Doors were not asked back to the Sullivan's really big show.
Also I did not know that ZZ Top's video's were misogynistic. Can somebody please explain the fifty ways, or should I google it?

You've picked up the majority of the classic rock basics. You probably have a classic rock collection and can sing along with most of the songs on your local radio station. This is not the highest score, but it is arguably the best: that subtle combination of impressive knowledge and not being a pretentious geek.

Ha.
The secret is that in my high school it was cool to listen to the classic rock station. If you listened to top 40 you sucked.
