3. I had that same problem for a while too.

I kept hearing about how DU2 was still operating, and I couldn't find it. I'm here sometimes too. It feels nice here.

It is nice. And no crazy jury thing either. People will alert for anything. And you spend the rest of the time handling all the jury in-box stuff.

5. I have two issues with DU3

although there are some things I like. I like that your posts do not disappear in two days and even if it is a week later when someone responds to a post, you will have it pop to the top....that is so nice.

But I think the mods were so much better than the jury, and I hate jury duty. I was also really upset by the new membership charges at a set rate, which I think it a lot for many people on DU. Stars given for any amount that you could afford was so much more fair. Those who could pay more, did. And those with less resources were not left out----and we never knew who was rich or poor. That is as it should be.

6. I agree --- jury duty is a pain. I finally opted out.

I do like the posts tracking system. I miss the poll function. The journal function is not up to par. The search function is not easy.

The front page needs work. and you are right about the rates...ugh.

8. Woo. Hi, Everybody.

Many years ago, I found Smirking Chimp, and found an awesome community. Then it was updated, changed, and everyone kinda disappeared. I'm afraid the same thing is gonna happen on DU3, although it hasn't turned out that way yet.

But good to know I can still come back to the old homestead. At least while it lasts!:hi: :hi: :hi:
