Greenhouse-Gas Concentration Rose to Record in 2010, United Nations Says
Atmospheric concentrations of the three main gases blamed for global warming all rose in 2010 to their highest since records began, the United Nations said.

Carbon dioxide, the most important heat-trapping gas, increased 0.59 percent to 389 parts per million molecules of air, the UN’s World Meteorological Organization said today in an e-mail. Methane rose 0.28 percent to 1,808 parts per billion as nitrous oxide gained 0.25 percent to 323.2 parts per billion.
