I can't wait till all the naysayers read what Clinton 42 told the Dems on the Hill
Edited on Tue Nov-10-09 05:43 PM by xultar
I read so much bullshit yesterday about what Clinton was going to do when he went to the hill today.

Bottom line all that bullshit spouted really shows that they have no faith in Obama. Obama asked Clinton to go to the hill and told him what he wanted him to say. So for those who spouted BS all that shows is you don't think Obama can handle his fucking business #1. And #2 you're stuck in that fucked up ignorant ass groove on the Clintons.

The Clintons have done right by Obama, the Democrats, and the country. They've done everything Obama has asked them to do, and how he wanted it done.

So basically if you're still chewin on that same old piece of fatback that reads the Clintons only do shit for themselves, they must be taken down go over to freeperville because that shit don't fuckin fly no more. Case closed on that lie.

1. Clinton would obviously not have done this without the President's awareness
Which is also why I reject any claims that Bill "had to" come in and get the job done right, which has been claimed elsewhere.

2. Bill was told to stay out of sight and he has. The only time he has done shit
is when the WH asked him to get involved.

Other than that' he has been doing his good works under the covers. And he hasn't stopped... you know, taken his Clenis home and said if I can't be the star I quit. He continues to do good work just like Gore has.

He should be given major props for that.

The bashing that goes on here to our elected officials and a past president amazes me. I mean really, is winning not the forte for Democrats. Reading some of the OPs of late one would think we lost. Keep it up and we will, big time.... love your post xultar...

But I certainly have had reservations since the primaries about whether the Clintons would be team players. I'm pleased to have been wrong about this.

You are right and I was wrong.

Peace and hugs Xultar.

And, that means I applaud everyone who is on board to help and support.

It's not a "this one against that one" kind of operation that President Obama is running. He gives respect and he gets it.

Edited on Tue Nov-10-09 06:18 PM by Number23
I completely agree. And this is obvious by Clinton's comments to the folks on the Hill:

"Clinton said he told the senators there was no perfect bill and "the worst thing to do is nothing."

"There is no perfect solution because it is a big open organic system that will have to be changed repeatedly over the next four or five years, but it's important to make a beginning," Clinton told reporters."

It's a shame when such common sense wisdom seems so extraordinary.

9. Well said. The Clintons have been a tremendous asset to Obama. Obviously,
they know how to rise above when the greater good is at stake. They are politicians, politicians make deals. Sometimes they
are not what we had hoped for. I had problems with many of the things Clinton did during his presidency, but I think he has
made it clear that he is out to do what it takes to make progress. I appreciate that. I respect the job Hillary's done as SOS. She has stood
strong despite ridiculous media scrutiny on very petty things.

One of them worked for 29 years for the same outfit!
I never recall so many lay offs during Clinton42.

He created the problems of the world today, not Obama. But that doesn't fit into your not so hidden agenda now does it?

If you believe that Obama is the cause as you're implying.

So in the real world, your post is full of shit. Again I'll say, you jumped right from Bill Clinton to Barack Obama, completely bypassing the fuck that put us in this hole.

So take your facts and shove them up your ass. Because really, they're not facts at all. Just more made up bullshit for you and your ilk to use and slam Obama because if you were truthful, you'd have nothing to slam him over.

Major difference between Bill Clinton and Barack Obama is...
Edited on Fri Oct-30-09 10:08 PM by Garam_Masala
Bill gave us huge budget surpluses
Barack is giving us huge deficits.

I read a report last week which projects interest on our
national debt will be over $800 Billion per year within
5 years at the current rate of budget deficits.
That much money will disappear from the treasury every year!
That amount can pay free healthcare for every single American,
free college education for all qualified students,
food stamps for every needy person and have money left over!

Instead that money will be shipped to China and other lenders.
But what do I care! I am retired. Let the young folks carry the burden

39. If I recall
correctly, Bill Clinton and the Democrats left our country with a huge surplus in 2000, and it took the neoconservative Dubya/Cheney administration less than two years to spend it all. They then spent the next six years destroying our economy while looting the US Treasury and running up the biggest deficit in the history of our country.

If you believe that President Obama, or anyone, could undo the damage done by the Republican criminal cabal in ten short months, you must spend most of your time on a different planet from the rest of us.

It even took time when Bill inherited his mess. He didn't turn everything around in 10 months and he inherited an economy better off than Obama did.

12. "They've done everything Obama has asked them to do" That really isn't the problem.
The problem is that some spend a lot of time criticizing Obama for things they seem to give Clinton a pass on. Look how many people have been distorting the health care bill, but now that Clinton goes to the Senate to give a pep rally in support of passing the bill it's cause for celebration.

Massive hypocrisy.

24. That is not true, Obama wanted the democrats to
see that Clinton supported him fully in this healthcare and in any other thing he was trying to do. Obama could have gotten up there and made the same speech Clinton did. But he wanted to show he had other support. And if he thought Carter could help he would ask him to come forward also.

29. People berated Clinton yesterday??
I missed that. You know, some people need a lesson in objectivity. I have little use for the Clintons personally and think most of what they do is for their own egos. HOWEVER - I also know that they are more Democrat than Republican and that they know that things like this health care bill are good for the country, both the people and the economy. And I know they want Obama to succeed. So regardless of why Bill might have gone up there, I am grateful that he did and I hope it made a difference.

Anybody who jumped down his throat over it has really got some screws loose, a whole bunch of them.

30. Actually it was Reid who invited Bill to the luncheon after clearing it with the WH.
Otherwise, I agree with your post. As for the Clintons, they went above and beyond the call of duty. Hillary appeared more than 75 times on Obama's behalf during the GE and Bill campaigned for him too. Furthermore, he's laid low and tried not to interfere with the administration. They have done far more for the party than the party deserved.

If some people don't like them. Who gives a crap?
