Got it today in my in-box. Needless to say I just deleted it without looking at it. I'm in Ireland right now, not returing until Nov. 8th. I wouldn't even give him the luxury of calling him a Blue Dog. In my mind he's DINO Dan and I've never voted for him since his daddy, Bungalow Bill, so conveniently retired after the primary in 2002 and gave the 3rd Congressional seat to him.

Danny Boy is a useless piece of **it and why he's still in Congress still amazes me. One thing that I do credit his father for is the fact that he voted against the Iraq war. At least the old man saw thru the BS that Bushco was peddling at the time.

2. That district could elect a socialist running as a Democrat.

There's no excuse for someone that conservative representing it. It's a shame there wasn't a strong primary challenge.

3. There has been in the past, but what Danny Boy does is

he gets fake candidates to run against him in the primaries to split the votes. He did it in 2006 and 2008. Everyone with half a brain in the district knows that the odds against winning are against him/her, so that is why the more progressive candidates shy away from running.

I really should say that his father, the ex-congressman Bungalow Bill Lipinski, is the man who's really dictating things. He still runs the 23rd Ward with a iron hand, even though he'll deny it, and that is where the base of Lipinski voters are. I've worked as an election judge in the past in Oak Lawn and they way the ditto's from the 23rd Ward control things is quite a lesson in machine politics.
